“On 07/16/2015 the Narcotics Task Force along with the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the residence of Tavara Jermaine Stanford, B/M, 33 years of age, 167 Dairy Loop, Shiloh, Talbot County, Georgia. Narcotics Agents seized over six ounces of crack cocaine, an ounce and a half of powder cocaine, over seven hundred Ecstasy Tablets and over five ounces of marijuana. Agents also seized a firearm, digital scales, a vehicle and over $26,000.00 in U.S. Currency. The weights of the narcotics were 197.3 grams of crack cocaine, 48.5 grams of powder cocaine, 6.95 grams of ecstasy and 5 plus ounces of marijuana. This was a successful undercover operation that spanned an extended period of time in which these drugs were being distributed by Stanford in Meriwether County, Georgia as well as surrounding counties. It is great when agencies are able to work together and get a major drug distributor off of the streets. Drug Traffickers have no boundaries and will infect any community that they can without hesitation. All for their personal benefit and gain regardless of who or how it affects those in which they sell. Tavara Jermaine Stanford was placed in jail on the charges of Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Ecstasy, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.” Sheriff Chuck Smith said.

“I appreciate all the effort put forth by the Narcotic Agents, Deputies and all the agencies involved. This was a very successful operation.” Sheriff Chuck Smith advised.
